Hello! My name is Jess and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I graduated from Boise State University in 2021 and in addition to being an LCSW, I hold an Advanced Substance Use Disorder license. I have worked in residential substance abuse treatment and have experience with inpatient and outpatient treatment for eating disorders and other co-occuring mental health issues, working closely with systems families and recognizing the importance of holistic care. I use my personal experience in recovery and compassion for others to create a safe, non-judgmental and sometimes even fun place for therapy. There is a strong belief in addressing the core issues and instilling hope when people are struggling.
What can members expect to take away from sessions with you?
On day one, you can expect a warm welcome, a chance to get to know each other and the opportunity to discuss your needs and goals for therapy. Moving forward, you can expect a continued collaboration to keep you progressing towards those goals in a way that doesn't feel like a chore!
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths?
I have heard that I am very authentic and gently honest with my clients. With my lived and learned experiences, I bring non-judgment, openness and a little humor to all of my sessions.
