Hi, My name is Melissa, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have been working with Children and Adults in educational, military and clinical settings since 2004, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals in their healing journeys. Originally from Massachusetts, I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from New Mexico highland's University  and became a licensed clinician in 2006. My work is deeply rooted in the belief that relationships are at the heart of healing. I approach therapy through a mental health, trauma, and pain counseling lens—valuing authenticity, compassion, and creating a safe, supportive space where you can truly heal. I’ve dedicated my career to counseling in honor of my brother who passed away at an early age unable to get the help he needed.

What can members expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, you can expect a warm, welcoming environment and a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and your interests, and together we’ll create a plan to support your growth and well-being. If you’re here for a psychological evaluation, I will take the time to carefully assess your needs and provide a thorough, thoughtful evaluation to guide you or your provider in making informed decisions about your care.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths?

If you’re seeking a therapist who fosters trust, safety, and genuine connection, you’re in the right place. Clients often share that they feel comfortable opening up with me early in the process—which allows us to explore meaningful areas of their lives, address what has been avoided, and take real steps toward healing and positive change.
