Hello, my name is Stephanie and I’m a Health and wellness peer support. I am a certified peer support, advocacy, policy lawmaking, and emergency crisis. My lived experience is that I am a survivor of a traumatic brain injury with PTSD and a learning disability. I came from a large family moving from Vegas with my two sons. My youngest is diagnosed with cerebral palsy and the intelligence. This is how I became an advocate. Presently, I work in case management under RN supervision, retrieving for referrals and authorization for patient needs working through various fields. I became a paraprofessional, teachers aid, park and rec assistant, a program assistant, child, development, teacher, medical support, assistant, caregiver and a nurse‘s aid to interact with the diversity of children ,adults cultures, and race.

What can members expect to take away from sessions with you?

As a peer support, I will advocate and support you. Have patience, motivate and guide you with the process. Also make a safe place with a positive atmosphere. Members can take away from the session methods of reaching their goals, confidence, painting, without having judgment, conversation of privacy, social activities referrals, lived learning experience and support.

Explain to members what areas you feel are your biggest strengths?

My Strengths include empathy, compassion, good listener, kindness, dedication to help others and willingness to learn from others.
